México is a safe place to travel, gastronomy, culture, and a lot of natural and cultural bounties ¡All you need is travel to México and fall in love with it!
Traveling through Mexico has always been on the mental map of the adventurers, but sometimes people don’t know if México is a safe place to travel.
Why is this perception planted in our minds?
Mexico has an enormous spread of blessing: for example its traditions, its food, its nature, the small towns, its history, its archaeology, its art and its endless wealth, even in the hospitality of its people you will remember this country.
For every foreigner that has the interest their in mind, Mexico is a country with a lot of personality, we are always generating news (good or bad) and maybe there is where all the things started.
We are like an open book that has nothing to hide, and we all are responsible for it, we had communicated what we see, what we believe we put it in evidence.
I think that part of being transparent has been evolving a long time ago, and today it is reinforced through the social media; the communication media has not more all the power to inform, we also have that power as the citizens.
With all that in mind, I sometimes worry when I see that other countries’ news do not transcend, and it is maybe because those countries have a set protocol for sharing news.
Here is when I think Mexico has earned by hand the lost of confidence, but the truth is that all the countries in the world have their dirty laundry to hide.
So, when someone ask me if México is a safe place to travel and he or she is a national or a foreigner, what I do it is to respond with the question. Why do you have that perception of insecurity of traveling through Mexico?.
They had responded to me with all the themes of insecurity, burglary, corruption and filthiness, and yes in that order.
Stereotypes also play a role
In the other hand, there are some people that left with the impression of some stereotypes of our country that has damaged us as a society.
Like that very common big sombrero man that sleeps under a cactus, or sleeping next to a donkey; or that image of that country where only beans and chile it’s eaten, that we sing with mariachis and drink tequila until we are wasted on the floor like typical drunks.
But inside all those stories there are many others and in many latitudes of the world, for example: Is it true that all Paris folks stink like the skunks?
Truly all those cartoon stereotypes show the smallest part of our daily life. We are a lot more that that. and you know? there are some people that come in looking for all those seals that are characteristic of Mexico for many years.
That does not mean that we should be ashamed of it. On the contrary, we are proud of our mariachis and the tequila, the chile that makes us feel like machos and the beans that make us strong.
Everyone who comes to Mexico doesn’t plan to leave, Yes,México Is a safe place to travel
Mexico is much more than we had heard from, good or bad you will be surprised everyday.
Friends of mine that have made their home here, they would not trade it for anything, they love it to the very core of their beans, and you know something else? Everybody is welcome here, we do not know the word xenophobia.
In my career going through different companies that cater to the tourism, I have spoken to many travelers that know our Mexico -even better that our local people-.
They have been very delighted, that they are the first ones to promote us, even before any entity that is dedicated to promote our country.
The truth is that all that has put a foot in this generous land, he or she is trapped for all the marvelous nature and culture, for the food, because it is at the reach of any budget and for the warmth of our people.
Thanks for that “word of mouth”, other travelers decide to visit us and live the reality of the country hat has it all for those that have the desire to discover it.
And now I invite you to take away those stigmas that shade Mexico and accepting that we should let our emotions be the guide to know this country, to stroll, to taste like many travelers do it day by day.

We have a History to envy like none other, from our pre-Hispanic ancestors, those civilizations were mathematically advanced, the astronomy, knowledge of herbs to cure, architecture, and lots of more sciences, that even in our times we still been surprised.
Mexico not only has beautiful beaches (11 thousand kilometers of coasts of them) it also county with 176 natural protected areas and it is one of the five countries with mayor diversity in the world.
We count with 33 sites recognized as world heritage from the UNESCO, that indicates the we are the first country in Latinoamerica with more recognition and the sixth at world level.
Culture wise, we show up with an extended range of archeologic places, monuments, around some 1,200 museums, and great wealthiness of Indian tribes, tongues, arts and crafts, colonial architecture.
111 magic towns and a vast gastronomy that is recognized also as a World Heritage, México it’s amazing! you need to visit it.
And also we count with advanced cities, high technology, industry and science. All these are the values that put Mexico in the ten countries most visited in the world; around 30 million of tourists come annually (2015).
I invite you to visit us, México is a safe place to travel
With all that said, I invite you to visit Mexico without thinking about you going to be the victim of someone.
Can you imagine if the millions of Mexicans that we live here would be afraid to go out thinking that something is going to happen to us? Well then we would not have a country with a growing economy, neither the foreigner investors would be increasing.
Let me put you an example, with all its “warnings”, the United States is our first tourist market, I’m just saying!
So rounding a little bit, if, it is safe to travel through Mexico if we take our precautions, there are armed groups en few areas away from our tourist destinations, or away from sites that the tourist frequent.
Do we have some of these cases? yes, we had very few and are the least of the them, where unfortunately the tourist had to pay for it for being there in the wrong place at the wrong time.
I am not going to tell you about the burglaries, delinquency and other minor things, because for that there are other communication media, but I will tell you of compatriots’ cases.
Security measures must be taken worldwide
Like when some Mexicans were affected in the attempts that happened in Paris, or those traveling nationals, that were hurt in Egyptian Territory.
This is not to conform, this is a reality that we are living in our days all over the world. It is not a standard that belongs only to Mexico.
And you believe that to all those alerts the tourism stop traveling? Of Course Not! Traveling is one of the activities that liberates you the most in the human life and I can say that, it is the most basic in the world today.
We all need to travel! due to a job, to have fun, to increase learning or relaxation, an México is the best option to do it.
So let me invite you to get close to people that had the experience to come to our country with fears and have left with positive experiences that they will never forget.
Those who talk bad about us are the ones that in reality do not know our country. We are good people in its majority and we are hard workers.
To take precautions to have a good vacation would be ideal, and these not only when you come to Mexico, if not measures of precautions that we have to take when we travel abroad Internationally.
Here I leave you with a list of the things you have to take in consideration when you travel.
Recommendations:
- Put your money in different pockets of your clothes.
- Always be alert of your belongings and your electronic equipment.
- Do not travel with jewelry, you don’t need them to visit places, except of course if you have a mega event to attend. (Wedding, convention, etc.) Use the security boxes from your hotel.
- Inform your friends or family members the sequence of your itinerary.
- Scan your documents, visas, passports, reservations, driver license, airline tickets, itinerary, etc.: and send them to your own email address and someone you know and trust.
- Do not visit places that don’t have a touristy infrastructure o places you do not know.
- Eat in well establish restaurants or where you see a lot of people go to, because it is probably going to be good food.
- It is basic to know a little of bit of the language of the country you are visiting, to ask for help or to ask something like directions.
- If you rent a car get a total insurance cover for it.
Si eres mexicano
- Do not be afraid to discover other the different states, we have somewhat 70 tourist centers that are waiting for you. Remember that in hard times, we the Mexicans are the ones that are traveling to re-activate the economy in our country.
- As hosts we have a great responsibility, there is nothing worse than a Mexican disgrace our own land and our own compatriots.
- Congratulation, we as hosts are unique, let not loose that essence that makes us special.
- If you take a look, one of each 11 job are involved with the tourist sector.
For example hotels, restaurants, cruise lines, leasers, travel operators, railroads, bus lines, museums, archaeological zones, team parks, agencies… lets make tourism!, sure someone that you know dedicates his life doing it.
We have seen in this compendium where the tourism is one of the most vulnerable activities, but it only needs a little bit of confidence and to hear something that encourage to travel through México and to make the right decision.

El mirador del BURJ KHALIFA
Comenzamos con el que se encuentra en el Burj Khalifa, el edificio emblemático en Emiratos Árabes Unidos. Este rascacielos de 800 metros de altura es un coloso en la ciudad que ofrece una hipnotizante vista. Aunque su mirador se encuentra a una altura de 450 metros, es suficiente para apreciar un panorama impresionante de la ciudad.
CHICAGO y las vistas MÁS ENVIDIADAS en ESTADOS UNIDOS
En la Ciudad de los Vientos vamos a encontrar dos miradores que te asombrarán. El primero es el Skydeck, que se encuentra en el piso 103 de la Torre Willis. Con 5 balcones, este sitio es ideal para tomar fotos y sorprender a todos en redes sociales. El otro es el Chicago 360, ubicado en el John Hancock Tower. En ambos puedes entrar, ya sea individualmente o en un paquete que incluya el acceso a los dos miradores.
CANADÁ con VISTAS SUBESTIMADAS…
En Toronto, Canadá, está el mirador de la CN Tower, el más alto de Norteamérica. Incluso también hay un restaurante junto al mirador, lo que hace tentador tener una cena en los cielos, a una altura de 346 metros. Y sin movernos de país, en la ciudad de Vancouver podemos encontrar el Lookout. Aquí, en el piso 40, se encuentra el mirador, el cual tiene una vista de 360 grados y es uno de los más baratos de la lista.
Los HERMOSOS MIRADORES de ASIA
Del otro lado del mundo, en Japón, encontraremos un mirador en el último piso del edificio del gobierno metropolitano de Tokio. Ahí probablemente no tendrás la vista más alta si lo comparamos con otros miradores, pero será suficiente para poder observar toda la ciudad del país Nipón.
En Corea del Sur también encontrarás la N Seoul Tower. A pesar de que llegamos únicamente a 5 pisos, esta torre se encuentra en una montaña al lado del río que divide la ciudad de Seúl, que definitivamente es una zona excelente para poder admirar toda la metrópoli. En esa misma ciudad encontraremos el Lotte World Tower: una edificación que parece de otro mundo. Si la observas desde abajo, parece que no tiene fin, y desde arriba tiene una vista espectacular.
FRANCIA y el mirador más FAMOSO del PLANETA
La Torre Eiffel es una de las maravillas del mundo y uno de los destinos más admirados y deseados en el planeta. Hay tres niveles a los que puedes acceder. Si eres una persona intrépida, los dos primeros los puedes acceder subiendo escaleras, pero en el punto más alto (de 276 metros de altura) tendrás que subir por el elevador. Igual otro mirador es el que se encuentra en el Arco del Triunfo. No tendrás la vista más alta de la ciudad, pero sí un ángulo excelente para poder tomarle una buena foto a la Torre Eiffel.
Los MIRADORES no se encuentran SOLO EN EDIFICIOS
En Londres existe el London Eye: una rueda de la fortuna y uno de los puntos más icónicos de la ciudad, que funciona como un hermoso mirador giratorio. Otra rueda de la fortuna es el High Roller en Las Vegas, en donde observarás la fiesta de luces que hay en los casinos que están alrededor. El punto más alto de esta atracción es de 167 metros.
NUEVA YORK: un lugar REPLETO de MIRADORES
Entre tantos miradores en NYC, se encuentra el Empire State, que ya es icónico de la ciudad. Ha salido en diversas películas y es reconocible hasta para la gente que no ha visitado Nueva York.

Si te ha pasado que cuando sales de viaje sientes ese remordimiento por dejar a tu mascota sola en casa, aquí te contamos cómo pueden disfrutar de unas vacaciones extraordinarias juntos, tú y tu compañero peludito.
Las PRECAUCIONES
Todo comienza antes del viaje, ya que necesitas cumplir con algunos requisitos para que tu mascota pueda subir al avión. Entre los documentos que te piden están: El certificado del veterinario, una cédula con su sello que confirme que tu mascota está sana y su carnet de vacunas al día. Ojo, estos papeles deben tener una vigencia no mayor a 5 días antes del vuelo. Y por si acaso, lleva dos copias extra para el regreso.
RECOMENDACIONES y TIPS antes del viaje
Debes contar con una transportadora tipo kennel, que son las que la mayoría de aerolíneas exige para garantizar la seguridad de tu mascota. Asegúrate de que sea lo más grande posible, pues tu amigo debe poder estar acostado como de pie.
Entrena y acostumbra a tu mascota a estar dentro del kennel antes del vuelo. Puedes empezar con pequeños lapsos durante el día o dar paseos en el coche con él/ella dentro de la transportadora. Esto ayudará a que esté tranquilo y familiarizado con el espacio. Igualmente, no alimentes ni le des agua a tu mascota al menos 4 horas antes del vuelo. Esto ayuda a prevenir accidentes o malestares durante el viaje.
¡LISTOS para VOLAR!
Una vez que llegues al aeropuerto, recuerda que tu perrito o gatito debe ir siempre dentro de la transportadora. Después de documentar tu equipaje, es momento de registrar a tu mascota. Todo el proceso es bastante rápido y eficiente: Solo pesan y revisan la transportadora. En ese momento también te pedirán los documentos.
Una vez a bordo del avión, lo mejor y un verdadero alivio es que algunas aerolíneas, como AEROMAR, usan aviones más pequeños llamados ATR (Avión de Transporte Regional). En este tipo de aeronaves, la cabina de equipaje está justo al lado de los pasajeros, lo que te permite visitar a tu mascota durante los momentos permitidos del vuelo. Esto ayuda a que tanto tú como tu lomito viajen mucho más tranquilos. Al llegar a tu destino, tu amiguito saldrá por la banda de equipaje. Lo mejor de todo es que suelen darle prioridad y aparecen antes que las maletas.

Así se vivió la EXPO ISISA 2025: RUGIDOS y ÁNIME en la ESIME TICOMÁN
Celebrando su décima edición con motores, innovación y talento estudiantil, esta expo es uno de los eventos automotrices más destacados en la CDMX.
Del 22 al 24 de mayo se vivió en el plantel del Instituto Politécnico Nacional (IPN) ESIME Ticomán uno de los eventos más esperados por los amantes del mundo automotriz: la EXPO ISISA 2025. Esta décima edición fue realmente especial, gracias a la participación de Itashi México: Un grupo de amantes de los autos y el anime… Acompáñanos a descubrir todo lo que se vivió en esta increíble expo que hizo rugir motores y emociones por igual.
¿Qué es la EXPO ISISA?
La Expo ISISA es una Exposición de Ingeniería en Sistemas Automotrices, fundada hace 10 años por los estudiantes de la escuela de ESIME Ticomán, del Instituto Politécnico Nacional. A pesar de ser un evento estudiantil, está abierto a todo el público y de forma gratuita, donde los vehículos son el corazón del evento, ofreciendo un amplio abanico de actividades que combinan aprendizaje, innovación y oportunidades laborales.
Podrás encontrar desde charlas sobre mecánica hasta espacios donde los estudiantes pueden conectar con empresas del sector automotriz. Es un evento para disfrutar, aprender y soñar entre motores.
¿Qué se VIO en la EXPO ISISA 2025?
Autos, autos y más autos… Sin duda, los autos son la estrella del evento. Durante la Expo ISISA 2025 pudimos encontrar exhibición de autos deportivos… Modelos de alto rendimiento y precio, que se hicieron presentes con el rugir de sus motores. Poder verlos de cerca es como una pasarela de lujo sobre ruedas: Cada diseño y detalle brilla por sí solo.
Pero, como dijimos, en comparación con ediciones anteriores, este año la Expo ISISA contó con la presencia de un invitado especial: Itasha México. Este prestigioso club de personalización de autos con temática de anime le dio un toque único y emocionante al evento. Aquí los autos combinaban la pasión por los motores con la cultura otaku de una forma sorprendente.
Las motos tampoco se quedaron atrás. En colaboración con Itasha México, también se presentaron modelos personalizados por el club, que rugían con fuerza y hacían vibrar toda la explanada.
Intervención y EMOCIÓN
Como ya es costumbre de la Expo ISISA, no faltaron los famosos autos tuneados, con decenas de unidades exhibidas por la escuela. Cada uno más llamativo que el otro. Las modificaciones e intervenciones pueden llegar a costar hasta $500,000 MXN (unos $25,990 USD). Entre los más llamativos se encontraban autos personalizados con temáticas de animes como Evangelion o Naruto.
Pero si lo tuyo son los autos clásicos, la EXPO ISISA 2025 contó con un amplio catálogo de joyas clásicas, desde el imponente Camaro Z11 de 1969 hasta una legendaria Volkswagen Combi pintada al estilo de Barbie.
Todo esto también fue respaldado con la presencia de gigantes de la industria automotriz, como Volkswagen, Nissan, Ford, entre otras marcas reconocidas. Su espacio se dedica a brindar información detallada sobre sus vehículos, e incluso algunos permitían acceso al interior de los vehículos exhibidos, obviamente con mucha precaución.
AERÓDROMO: Hablando de AUTOS entre AVIONES
ESIME Ticomán es una de las escuelas de ingeniería aeronáutica más reconocidas en la CDMX. Es por eso que cuentan con un aeródromo: Un espacio que sirve como taller para aviones, pero durante la Expo ISISA 2025, fue el espacio donde se llevaron a cabo conferencias impartidas por expertos en temas automotrices, además de charlas motivacionales y consejos para futuros emprendedores.
Además, también estaban las famosas islas, donde diferentes marcas automotrices compartieron su información sobre productos y servicios y, a cambio, consintieron a los invitados con regalos y premios.
¿DÓNDE fue la EXPO ISISA?
Las EXPO ISISA se llevan a cabo en el plantel ESIME Ticomán del IPN, en la Calzada Ticomán, alcaldía Gustavo A. Madero, CDMX. Puedes llegar fácilmente en auto o transporte público, pero lo más recomendado es tomar el teleférico Mexicable y bajar en la estación Ticomán, que te deja a solo unos pasos de la entrada del evento. Si planeas asistir con tu propio auto, tienes que saber que el estacionamiento del evento está reservado únicamente para estudiantes del IPN ESIME Ticomán y los ponentes de la EXPO ISISA, por lo que tendrás que buscar un estacionamiento.
Te recomendamos llevar gorra, lentes de sol y protector solar. Gran parte del evento se realiza al aire libre y el sol puede ser intenso. Además, por motivos de seguridad y organización, es necesario llenar un formulario de registro antes del evento. Puedes encontrarlo en las redes sociales oficiales de la Expo ISISA. Recuerda que la entrada es gratuita.
Y, como ESIME Ticomán es una escuela de ingenierías, también podrás conocer los aviones expuestos, que fueron donados por aerolíneas, con el objetivo de que los estudiantes puedan utilizarlos para su aprendizaje.
Ya seas un apasionado de los autos o simplemente tengas ganas de pasar un buen rato, Expo ISISA es una experiencia que te va a encantar, y que deja relucir cómo un evento estudiantil puede motivar y alcanzar gran calidad.
